Saturday was the sunny day this weekend, and Jeff and I moved 3 tons of sand into place in the backyard for our Dog Beach. Lotsa fun diggin’ now! Sage used to bark at the rolling wheel, but the dogues did not mind the wheelbarrow trundling by- it took many reps of that so I guess they got used to it. Once the dumping of sand was complete, Sage dug in a circle and made himself a nice nest to lay in. Next time it is dry out, we will “seed” the beach with a few interesting things. I have asked Raye to bring back a couple large quahog shells when she goes to Cape Cod in July. I am sure Sage has never seen clams before, though Reilly may remember them from her trip to Cape Cod last march.
and I must link here to our friend Kirk and his really fun dog songs, from which I take the title of this post. I now give you…the Dog Beach Boogie.
